Since my mindless rambling about them will accomplish nothing, I thought I'd make a new thread about the band I'm currently obsessed with! Cotton Sidewalk are a 5 piece band from Newcastle, currently residing in Melbourne. Despite being active for over 10 years, they've never risen above pub playing level, yet have still managed to release two LP's and an EP using money from their own pockets. Their latest LP, Evil Versus People is the one I have and it's absolutely fantastic in every way.

The style of music is an often varied one, but the main factors are emotion, noise and power. Adam's echoing and sometimes haunting vocals are the driving force for the music. And here is some of their music:

Rock on! :phones:

I like this Sal and three words you used emotion, noise and power fitr this perfectly! One thing about this band is they give off a higher energy than most similar bands of their ilk! My favorite song was Window Man of the Dark! :grinthumb

Window Man Of The Dark is indeed a brilliant song. Interestingly, it actually follows on (as you may notice from first 5 seconds or so) from my second favourite song, Ride Spider Ride, which I will upload along with the rest of the album during the week.

Well although 6 songs failed along the way for unknown reasons, the rest of the album is up. I'll post them with as much fluency as I can :D

I downloaded mine from CD baby, found it very fuss free personally. (Apart from having to make an account) I just hope you enjoy it as much as I do! :)

The songs I downloaded from lala.com vary between 110 and 140 Kpbs bitrate. Not perfect quality but I cannot find their album anywhere else. Rapidshare, torrents. Nothing. So I have to be satisfied with this. It's okay :)
