Favorite Album Cover Art?
iTunes is great and all for iPod users but there is nothing like physically owning an LP or a CD with fantastic cover art. Hugh Syme is probably my favorite artist of all time for creating Syd Mead-style futuristic renditions with a bit of a Tim Burton bent to it... That said, some of my favorite covers were not done by him like the covers of Judas Priest's Screaming for Vengeance and Defenders of the Faith (records so similar in style, I sometimes forget which album had which tracks!). Believe it or not, I also adored the cover of Kilroy Was Here by Styx (1983). I was also a big fan of the work on "Mechanical Resonance" (Tesla) and Invasion of your Privacy (Ratt).
