I was having a discussion with a friend of mine of bands that had incredible streaks of great albums. What do you think are the best "great album streaks"?
I could list all sorts of them but I'll go with two.
First one isn't really a band but the run Ronnie James Dio had starting with Rainbow's s/t then going Rising, LLR&R, moving to Sabbath with Heaven & Hell, Mob Rules, and then going solo with Holy Diver and finally Last In Line.
Another is Metallica's run in the 80's. Kill Em All, Ride The Lightning, Master of Puppets, ....and Justice For All. Even possibly The Black Album. I think it could be argued that RTL-MOP is the best back to back records in rock history.
