I once had the Jimi Hendrix double-vinyl sound track album back in the entire 1980s and actually it's quite a decent listening double album with all the recordings mainly coming from the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967 the Isle of Wight Festival in 1970 plus a 12-string acoustic version by Jimi perched on a stool (the same as on the LP cover) performing 'Hear My Train A Comin' from London in 1967 and the Band of Gypsys 'Machine Gun' from the Filmore East NY on new years day 1970 also each of the four vinyl sides contain several extra 'interview segments' at the end of each side that aren't featured in the movie plus also this sound track album was never released on cd in the UK unfortunately because I would have liked it to have been available on cd myself although it did appear in Japan which didn't surprise me because Japan seemed to go there own way when it came to what they released.

I was fortunate to buy an analog/digital recorder 20 some odd years ago. Byte per byte digital recording from any audio source, which I have done with several of my vinyl records. Including Sound Track Recordings From The Film Jimi Hendrix.
