contains Led Zep, Cream, The Doors, The Who, T-Rex, The Ramones, Iggy and the Stooges..........

You forgot perhaps the most important band, Magic. Sandwiched between T. Rex and the fictional band No Vacancy (where the lead singer is the AMAZING Adam Pascal of "RENT" fame by the way), at track 12 is The Darkness in their prime and glory. :D

Cool movie, cool tunes.

TOTALLY! I was waiting for someone to bring this up. This movie has one of the best collection of artists to ever be used in a movie. Just to name a few: Thin Lizzy, KISS, AC/DC, The Nuge, BOC, James Gang, UFO, Styx, Nazareth, Angel, ELO, Sabbath, Cheap Trick, Sweet, The Ramones, Van Halen, T. Rex, Bowie, Golden Earring, and Edgar Winter. I discovered SO much about music through this movie. :grinthumb

Great thread Magic and tons of great movies. Here is another little well known movies but one that I really like. It has some really good songs in it and it's a cute campy beach movie. It star Phoebe Cates, Bridget Fonda and Robert Rusler (hot, hot, hot!). It's set in the 1960's during Spring Break. Need I say more?:D

All of those awesome/awful 80s action and martial art movies always had ridiculously smokin' AOR anthems, usually played during the training montage(s). Nothing says "********** macho posturing" like screeching guitars over OTT keyboard lines.

I have a lot of Soundtracks in my iPod but I've just forgotten which are the best. I like one that Alex Turner did for a movie called Submarine (He's the lead singer of Arctic Monkeys). It's very acoustic but nice.
