CHEAP TRICK - The Complete Epic Albums Collection Out Now
Rarities
Posted on Saturday, March 03, 2012 at 11:02:15 EST

Besotted by the British Invasion, CHEAP TRICK took the music of their UK heroes and transformed it into something uniquely American. While lead guitarist Rick Nielsen has humorously described the band as “four great guys with three great chords,” they are much more than that. From their hometown of Rockford, Illinois, Cheap Trick has taken their inventive, high-energy brand of rock to every corner of the globe, selling over 20 million albums and amassing devotees from Kurt Cobain to Homer Simpson. The Complete Epic Albums Collection gathers their seminal recordings in one essential, exhaustive package. After all, songs like 'I Want You to Want Me', 'Surrender', 'The Flame' and 'Dream Police' don’t just live on the radio—they live inside of your head as well.

Looks like a nice set 70's Guy, Heaven Tonight is my favorite record but I have 4 Cheap Trick albums now.

I wonder if these are "remastered"...(Messed with...;)) or the original digital transfers, which as time has gone by have become favored by audiophiles generally because they were done with no changes to the original.

$99.00 is a very reasonable price, unlike the ridiculous $600.00 for the latest Motorhead rarities collection.

One complaint I have about this collection....

I'd rather have the real "Live At Budokan" (1979) , than the "Live At Budokan-The Complete Concert" shown here.

Agreed...the complete concert is nice, but the original, along with all that great photography and booklet is the way to go. Classic and historical, and it flowed perfectly.
