US instrumental tech/extreme prog metal trio Canvas Solaris has the power of tech prog metal, the magic of jazz fusion, the energy of heavy rock, ethnic influences, and even some electronic psychedelia. Very technical, extreme would be better replaced with eclectic. Multi-instruments grace Penumbra Diffuse to give it a radiant soundscape. For fans of Gordian Knot, Spiral Architect, Spastik Ink, King Crimson, and even the Mahavishnu Orchestra.

Just as you described Joe!!
These guys are rather captivating to listen to!
Easy to listen to, yet very technical. I was just reading that they started off using vocals but slowly progressed to being instrumentals!
Good find Joe! Good listening!
Do you listen to them them while you fish?

Thought I would throw in their discography to boot!

Glad you like them Harkat. No, I never listen to music when I'm fishing. The ambience that is all around me is my fav music.

I also have The Atomized Dream on CD as well. I'm a big fan of instrumental tech/extreme prog metal especially with passages of jazz fusion.

I've read very good reviews on thier new album. It's on my list.

I have to see if I can get my hands on them. Its not what I normally listen to but variety is the spice of life, especially when you have good spices!
