Okay, prepare for a non-lucid description of a song. I was napping in my car between work shifts and on the radio heard a song I really liked... but I was half asleep and figured "OH, I'll remember ____ later" and now I can't remember ____.

Song info:

- Was about an older gentleman who played guitar / blues or both. Pretty sure blues is mentioned.
- He dies toward the end of the song and he is buried
- I think the tombstone was the only thing "he had" or "he owned" may have been in the lyrics. Or maybe the grave?
- I think he may be referred to as "old man ___."
- Had a "Shooting Star" vibe.

Ring any bells? I'm dying here.

It's Either
The ballad of Curtis Loew
or
Poppa was a rolling stone ??

I LOVE YOU. It's the Ballad of Curtis.

As soon as I heard the intro, I knew it was it. I can't believe I didn't recognize LS as the band, but like I said, I was half asleep and was almost convinced I had dreamed the entire thing up in my head.

Thank you x100000. You don't know what relief this brings me.

One of my favorite Skynyrd cuts. Right up there with Mr. Banker & Four Walls Of Raiford.
