I was a bit peeved to miss seeing Bush when they were in Sydney last month I have had a secret crush on Gavin Rossdale since I was about 12

I like this song a lot. I tried some songs on The Sea of Memories and I disliked them strongly, I will give their older albums a shot, if its like Monkey in sound I might like those.


Ill throw Cold Contagious in there too. Looks like I got some albums to seek out.

I really liked Razorblade Suitcase and am currently enjoying The Science of Things. Two great albums.
The Chemicals Between Us is one I particularly love.


Only album I find hard to get into is Sea of Memories.

I recently saw Bush live and I believe some lip synching was involved.
I don’t think it is uncommon for some bands to mimic along to pre-recorded music and vocals and it really bothers me at times when I think I am a witness to such things.


There were songs featured with a completely different sound to Gavin’s vocals. For example; most of the new songs. Each time a new song was featured, they had the same sound with Gavin’s vocal quality which was different than when other and older songs were played. Gavin often jumps around and even walks around the audience. He is an active frontman still. And some of these songs featured, are laced with his usual breath exhales clearly heard with control.
I’m calling offsides.

That being said, I still left the concert very excited to have seen them again and have been listening to their first four albums every day since.
They are like a cheating, ex-girlfriend; I can’t help but feel betrayed but I still get excited to see them and I cling to the past.
