Pretty much the coolest Australian rock band from the 70's. Volcanic Rock & Only want you for your body are totally killer albums. Totally heavier than you'd expect, especially tunes like "freedom"

Wiki Link

Dead Forever... (1972)
Volcanic Rock (1973)
Buffalo (EP) (1974)
Only Want You For Your Body (1974)
Mother's Choice (1976)
Average Rock 'n' Roller (1977)
Rock Legends: Buffalo (compilation - 1980)
Skirt Lifters: Highlights & Oversights 1972-1976 (compilation - 1989)

Their singer Dave Tice actually sings at the local pub down the road from me every weekend, the dude's pipes are still amazing.

I'd love to get him to get up and sing a old Buffalo song at one of my band's gigs in the future :omg:

I've heard of them, but don't know anything by them. Just listened to Freedom, that's a pretty cool tune.

Great tune ...^^

One killer track from the often over looked and underrated Dead Forever album

You should checking into Dead Forever ( their debut ) and Only Want You for Your Body..(their third release) all are really good albums.
From the third release...

Hell yeah these guys were ferocious. There are rumors that they even upstaged Black Sabbath where they performed as the opening band. Wouldn't doubt it as Volcanic Rock is killer. One of my all time favorite 'grails'.

For some family tree recommendations, also check out Rose Tattoo's debut album (featuring Peter Wells - its a great hard rock album) and the Count Bishops (Dave Tice sang on some of their albums - good garage blues rock) and Southern Cross.

This is my favourite tune off Only Want you for your Body. Great album... It's sleazier and faster than Volcanic, but totally awesome nonetheless.:grinthumb
