Another band I never heard of....................
I don’t know if they would be anything you would like but they did dabble a tad into the prog realm. Give “Valley of the Kings” and “Cold Sweat” posted above a listen.

This one is definitely progy….Ptolemy

John Sykes was a beast on guitar and wrote great music!

I listened to the tracks you mentioned.....definitely not my cup of tea.
To me pretty basic hard rock/metal....nothing original or catchy to my ears. If you played some songs next to each other from several bands like that I couldnt tell who was who.
He did sound like he could play guitar but as you know there are many like that in the world of rock.
BTW,,,,not trying to dismis bands that people like but I find so much of this kind of hard rock to be forgettable.

I remember being extremely disappointed with Blue Murder when it came out, both with the songs and John's vocals.
I revisited it when he passed away and I thought it actually aged very well.

Not a bad picture on the rear of the cd of the band dressed as pirates from memory or at least they were on the UK version. I bought the cd in the old HMV store in Oxford street in London's west end back in the 1990s when you could still buy US & German import cds not like these days. As for wot the cd sounded like I've forgotten although I bought it mainly cos Carmine Appice was on it on drums. The bass player was Tony Franklin who was on the two Firm cds alongside Jimmy Page in the mid-1980s and of course Chris Sykes on guitar.
