Getting right into Sabbath again I am now up to Vol 4 which I also love listening to.
I love Tomorrow's Dream.

Very good pianowork on Changes.

I'm surprised by how good this really is despite some mixed reviews I read around.. Have listened to this for the third time today.

Anyone seen this? Pretty good stuff. I wonder how the video hasn't got too many views.

One day I must get around to checking out the post-Dio albums, I've always heard good reports about Tyr.

I've been playing Technical Ecstasy to death again in the past few days. I still think that it's very under-appreciated.

I've got very happy memories of a morning a few days before we left school in '77, when a handful of us took over the school drama workshop, put on We Sold Our Souls LOUD, dressed up in cassocks from the drama wardrobe and flailed around with crucifixes and the like - mad (but a fond memory!).

Saw the band a few times with Ronnie but only the once with Ozzy & Bill, when they played the warm up for Download 2005 at our local theatre. A very bizarre experience but I remember it being a revelation how well Ozzy looked and sounded that night and strange looking up to see Sharon, Izzy Stradlin and others on the balcony.

First time listening to Never Say Die on these speakers and Ill say its much better. My original speakers everything was tinny and maybe that gave me a real false impression of the album. It sounds pretty decent on these speakers. Album is a grower.

Apparently Tony Iommi wanted to take the band in a different direction after the Sabotage album but the rest of the band wern't that interested in going and the fans at that time didn't want it either.

Tony calls Technical Ecstasy HIS solo album. :D

Wow, it always sounded more like a bad Ozzy album to me. It's my least favorite of the albums with Ozzy.

Personally i actually think that Technical Ecstasy is there BEST album from a musical point of view (honest).

Albums like Vol4, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath & Sabotage are very good albums but from a musical point of view they were getting increasingly boring, Technical Ecstasy was something more fresh but the Sabbath fan's just wanted more War Pigs & Iron Man!. :wank:

Blasphemy. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath never gets boring.

:heheh:

Technical Ecstacy was good musically except the horrible horrible You Won't Change Me. That song is the worst of Sabbath I have ever listened to. Fans can be really interesting when it comes to bands wanting to explore a different sound, lots hate experimenting. I for one have to admit Technical and Never say Die have grown a little bit, it helps to listen to them on good speakers.

But I still think the Dio era albums were superior to the final 2 they did with Ozzy. Better production, better songs, better vocals, better everything.
