This barely qualifies as a punk rock song, if it even does at all. But it's my favorite punk rock song of all-time... if that counts for anything.
It just.... People throw around the term "sad bastard" a lot. But I don't think there's a more perfect "sad bastard" song than this. It's the only song GG ever performed that seems to express some level of remorse for the loveless life he cultivated. It's tragic, and beautiful in its tragedy.... but it also manages to be sort of iconic. It's a dark song but it shows that there's some love there, buried deep, shunned, maimed... but alive.
