I'm a 67-year-old Canadian. I see some Canadian artists here, some of whom I see being discovered by and reacted to by young people on YouTube every day. I can think of records by Canadian artists who must be remembered only by people who listened to the radio then - their records didn't hit anywhere else in the world, usually.

Copper Penny

The Kings ("This Beat Goes On / Switchin' To Glide" is their legacy. Record company screwed them over, bad.)
The Mandala (ft. Domenic Troiano - he joined the last iteration of The Guess Who)

People outside Canada seem to think that all Terry Jacks did was "Seasons In The Sun," but he founded The Poppy Family with his then-wife Susan, in the late 1960s, and had several other solo hits in the '70s after they broke up. Chilliwack were one of the bands who had early hits on Terry's label.
Gary & Dave had three hits and broke up mid-'70s (to both become pilots). Their biggest, "Could You Ever Love Me Again" is still reportedly played somewhere in Canada on the radio every day of the week in 2025. People in a lot of countries know that song, like in England and Australia.
I could go on, but I'll stop here. Do any of you know any of those names?
