I'd like to say Rush but they did the Exit Stage Left version of La Villa among other things and the other times I saw them they were supporting albums I wasn't a fan of at all. I saw the Dickenson Maiden on the Powerslave tour (maybe Piece of Mind but I doubt it. They weren't even in the top ten (no DiAnno no real maiden).
I hate to say it but I missed the boat on everything that could have been the greatest show I ever saw. The most tragic was being handed tickets to Ozzy a couple weeks after Randy died. I had no desire to see it and glad I didn't go. Sarzo and Aldridge are no replacement for their actual rhythm section anyway.
It might just be UFO at the Sandbar (think it was called AL Gators or something at the time) in the mid 90s. I hate to say it but that show kicked all kinds of ass. I snuk into a Metallica/Queensryche show in the early 90s (to see Queensryche play shit off their EP) and that was what got me into Metallica (walked onstage by accident on my way from backstage to front row) but other than a memorable experience it wasn't even in the top 20.
I've gassed on about Screaming Trees enough (but they deserve it) but that show was way up there....
I am unqualified for a response.
Perhaps I should have opened with that bit?
