Without consulting a list of all the options, I'll pick a few.
Son Of Schmilsson by Harry Nilsson. Harry steps out and let's his wicked humor take center stage with the help of an all-star cast including; Ringo, George Harrison, Nicky Hopkins, Bobby Keyes and Peter Frampton.
Something/Anything by Todd Rundgren - All Todd on sides 1 through 3 and a live studio performance on side 4.
Ziggy Stardust by Bowie. Bowie and Ronson simply perfect in a timeless snaphot.
Transformer by Lou Reed. Lou is produced by Bowie and Ronson and the result is Lou's best selling album.
Ah Hell, I just looked at a list and there are tons! Machine Head by Deep Purple, Harvest by Neil Young, The Slider by T Rex, Roxy Music by Roxy Music, #1 Record by Big Star
It should be noted that I'm a youngster and wasn't buying vinyl for another few years but every album listed is something I own.

Oh brothers, I missed Alex again but I don't think Framed is quite as good as Next. However...three of my all-time faves by Alex are on it. "There's No Lights On The Christmas Tree, Mother They're Burning Big Louie Tonight", "Framed" and "Midnight Moses".
