Anyone who has been paying attention to my threads might have noticed I have a fondness for heavy metal of the true ,epic nature......

BATTLEROAR , are a epic heavy metal band from Greece. They are forged in the same fire as such epic metal greats as Manilla Road, Cirith Ungol , Brocus Helm etc.. while maintaining their own musical identify .They have been crowned w/ the title of Greece's greatest metal export by a number of metal zines around the globe and not without good reason. After only two releases they had taken the European concert circuit by storm and this before releasing their most highly praised opus, Death And Beyond. Great band , I eagerly await their next installment .

Members : Marco Congoreggi (vocals), Kostas "H.K." Tzortzis (guitar), Stelios Sovolos (guitar), Kostas "S.K." Makrikostas [aka Gus Makrikostas] (bass), Nick Papadopoulos (drums), Manolis Karazeris (guitar), Vagelis Krouskas (vocals), Christos Remoundos (bass)

Discography :

Not many people on this side of the pond have heard them but you seem to know a good amount of obscure bands in related genres so I wouldn't be shocked to learn that you have listened to them before.

..but I don't have any of their albums.

You should remedy that situation :D

My personal favorite and very well received by the European Metal media This album has been described as what Iron Maiden might sound like if they were heavily influenced by Manilla Road and were fronted by Geoff Tate with a Greek ascent :grinthumb

I have picked up "To Death & Beyond", but otherwise they are hard to find. Haven't played it yet though...but I'll get to it this week sometime.
