Everyone has seen someone wearing vintage band t-shirt without really knowing who they are or what they sound like! Should they be allowed to wear these band t-shirts?

You can't stop someone from wearing a shirt, but yes they should be a fan of the band or artist

I often wonder when I see some of the more iconic shirts just how familiar they are with the artists music.

I personally would never wear a bands shirt unless I liked them.

No

Everyone who wants to buy a shirt of a band should have to take a test on the bands history, discography and band members as well as their families, pets and kindergartenfriends before being allowed to do so.... come on now.

Yes it would be nice if you could tell that someone is a fan of a band by looking at their shirt, but if someone thinks the Rolling Stones tongue / Nirvana smiley / whatever is a cool logo and buys the shirt what's the deal?

Getting mad over something so trivial is something i just can't understand ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I sometimes see a teen wearing a Ramones or Zeppelin t-shirt and smile, assuming they know and are into the music. Even if they don't and are wearing it for some obscure reason, i say let 'em! I would never do it, however, that is, back in the day when i wore rock t-shirts.

Reminds me of people who wear shirts picturing places they have never visited. I did that myself once, when someone gave me a t-shirt from their vacation. I liked the color and fit of the shirt and it suited me well when taking a strenuous hike. Fortunately, no one questioned if i'd been to Portland, OR, or threatened to rip the shirt off my back.:heheh:
