Absolutely fell in love with GFR in 74. Loved the energy and the musicianship. Farner was as cool as it gets and Brewer taught me how to play the drums lol!! Although I never even got to within 100 miles of his talent, the guy was smooth on the Ludwigs. Fave band from the 70's.

Heck ya , i liked them better as a trio , once they added people to the mix their groove started to change . I also dont like how they s-c-r-e-w-e-d Mark Farner out of Grand Funk.

The 3 piece GFR was legendary!! Power trio at it's best. Not one bad lp, Red lp, On Time, Survival, E Pluribus, Mark, Don, Mel,,,all classic lp's I could listen to forever!

I’m a huge fan. Did a lot of roller skating & dancing to GFR in the early/mid 70’s.

#1”All the Girls in the World Beware” (love it) #2 ”Closer to Home”

however, IMO the absolute BEST album is Grand Funk Live (1970)
