I ended up watching most of it, save the last twenty minutes or so. Jessica wasn't very inspiring this week, but then again how could she top last week in all fairness. I agree with the judges tht she should try to stick to ballads. Like Adele that has really come to be her niche I think. Phillip was pretty entertaining. He really has a chance to win, but I want something a little different this year as all of the winners from the past four or five seasons have been about the same. Thought Elise did very well, and before Randy even said it I thought "Her voice is like butter". Actually Shannon was wonderful, and that was a huge song for her to take on, and I was a little nervous when I found out what her song choice was, but she nailed it!

I'll check out Hollie's performance later when I get home. Good show!

The contestants are always in a no win situation. If Jessica had done another ballad,they would have said it was great but we want to see you switch it up some-sort of the same situation with Pia last year.

If I'm hearing right, was Shannon really eliminated? She was far from the best but she did really good last night I thought! Just goes to show how unpredictable the results on this show can be.

I hated to see her go and the other two shouldn't have been in the bottom three.But they aren't going to get the teenage girl vote.Heejun should have gone.

This is frustrating as I am having to literally physically take evasive action to avoid reading any of this thread above, as we only get Idol in the UK 24 hours after it goes out in the US, and I taped it and haven't seen it yet, so I don't want to ruin it for myself by finding out who sang well, who didn't, and who got cut from the show before I have a chance to watch any of it. But my prediction this week, without knowing, is the oriental guy whose name I can never remember, he's called Hey Jude or something. Later!!...
