For all 2 of the Idol fans here...

Wednesday's show was great. Some memorable performances all around and of course there was the Zeppelin! As Randy said, Zeppelin is hard to sing, but I think Elise did a pretty good job and was in her element completely. Also, I absolutely loved Jessica's slowed ballad version of "Sweet Dreams". It was pretty brilliant. For such a young gal she sure has a lot of soul, well above some of the others who have years on her. She did it the way Beyonce should have done it! Here's my favorites:

I am a Jonny Lang fan.
Here is Phillip Phillips covering a Lang tune.Jonny's sister Jessica Langseth was on season 8 and made it to the top 36 but America didn't put her any further through.It was one of those shows where they got rid of a bunch at one time

I'm enjoying this season so far for the most part. Even a couple of voices that I was not a fan of ( Skylar and Colton) have surprised me with stellar performances every week. Big fan of Jessica, Joshua, and Elise ( Elise became a big favorite with her performance of "Vienna"). Holly has an outstanding voice but doesn't seem to be connecting with the audience. Sorry, I'm going against the grain here - I don't get Phillip. I don't like his voice at all. Deandre has a good voice - just seems like he's a bit of a "one-note-johnny". He's good at the soulful ballads designed to moisten the little girls but I'm not buying much else he's offered. Erika should still be there.
I wasn't a huge fan of Heejun but this wasn't the week he deserved to go - he sang his ass off this week.

I am soooooo relieved that Heejun has finally been dumped, I don't know who the hell was voting for him, or why, probably the same sort of people who vote for Newt Gingrich in the primaries. Kind of annoys me that Heejun stayed and Shannon (who had an amazing voice) was eliminated a while ago....that was a bad show.

Jessica is still my favourite by a mile, I have rarely heard anyone singer better, at any age, period, never mind a 16 year old kid.

Going off Joshua a bit, he now screams too loud for my liking.

Skylar is OK I suppose, though every single time I hear her it's like Dolly Parton but with less boobs and hair.

Coming into contention for me is Colton, who seems ultra talented, I don't like Muse (the band) but he reminds me a lot of Matt Bellamy, and I could imagine him doing an ultra cool version of some Radiohead if they let him, he's probably going to make the final no problem.

Always loved Hollie, apart from being cute and a sweet kid she sings like she really means it, hope she hangs on.

Phillip I don't know about, there's something about him I'm growing not to like, his singing voice is pretty ordinary to put it mildly, if he wins, it's going to be on looks and image and marketability, and not pure vocal talent.

Deandre I am now seriously trying to avoid whenever he comes on the show, when he does it's time to go and make coffee in the kitchen or hammer nails into my earlobes for relief, all this castrated cat falsetto screaching is just unbearable, imagine having to listen to an entire album of him warbling away like that, it's not natural for a guy to sing like that, and the more he tosses his stupid hair around just adds to my irritation of him.

Love Elise, she did a great 'Whole Lotta Love' last week, she's got huge rock-chick potential.

So it's still Jessica for me...from now Colton and Hollie.

I would love for Elise to make the finals but it'll be Jessica and either Phillip or Colton. This show needs a rocker chick as the winner for a nice change of pace.
