Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news Overkill but the best concert you will ever see will be the first one you ever see so everything after that will never reach the level of an Alice Cooper show. He has held the award for the best live show on the planet for years. :D

Haha, sounds good to me either way. So, I assume you've been at an Alice Cooper concert? If so, when did you go? I mean I've heard and seen some clips of his stage shows, but I want to know what it's like in person. I will in a little over 2 weeks. :D

I am glad no one actually got offended at my showing dislike to the new Cooper album. Most people would have flamed the **** out of me for even saying I dislike their favourite stuff. I am aware I can come across harsh, on the record it is all just me speaking for myself :)

I went a couple years ago (Autumn of 2008) and I was going to catch him a few weeks back but had to work. When I saw him he got hanged and beheaded onstage, committed to the insane asylum, stabbed some baby dolls while singing "Dead Babies", murdered an Alice Cooper lookalike, and (since it was election time) closed the show with "Elected" by making two guys in McCain and Obama masks fight each other before stabbing them both. It was such an event. :grinthumb

Well I very much disagree on you for that, Riff, but I respect your opinion. "Welcome 2 My Nightmare" might be my favorite album of the year and one of the best Alice has put out in a long time. It has the sense of humor, the violence, and a collection of nearly every attribute from his past work that longtime fans can appreciate. By themselves I can't say that I'm wild about "Bloodbath Boogie Disco Fever" or "What Baby Wants" but as a part of the album they work perfectly into the story and that makes me like them.

Fun fact, I'm going to see Alice Cooper in concert on the 26th in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. I'm 25 years old, but it will be my first concert. Way overdue, but I'm excited. :)

He goes to little old Mt. Pleasant, MI? Wow! Blast from the past. :omg:

My first Alice concert was in Las Vegas. I was 13. I've seen Alice a few times since then. The last time he toured with Rob Zombie. You're in for a heck of a treat. Alice always puts on a great show. Enjoy.
P.S. Just for the record, I like his new album. Remember the Coop.

Well the Alice Cooper concert sure was fun. A woman tapped me on the shoulder and told me to sit down. It was my first concert...and I was pissed when she did that. She ruined my mood for the next 3 songs. Then he played "Is It My Body" (my favorite song of his) and then I was in a good mood again. :D

Alice sounded great and he looks great for his age too. Not many 60+ year men can get away with wearing leather pants.

I picked up Welcome 2 My Nightmare a couple of weeks ago and have to admit that I like it. A lot better then I was anticipating after the guest spotting pop diva and American Idol hype.

Just join this thread and yeah i like the above mentioned albums as well :grinthumb

My favourite album is BILLION DOLLAR BABIES the track ELECTED blows me away everytime :grinthumb

The opening guitar riff to ELECTED was "borrowed" from the JIMI HENDRIX number called DOLLY DAGGER originally released on the RAINBOW BRIDGE album in 1971 although the track was originally recorded at ELECTRIC LADYLAND STUDIOS NY in the spring/summer of 1970 :)
i got his debut album pretties for you from '69. a more or less psychedelic album. the song elected is a carbon copy of reflected from this album

"Dada" is decent but you know how I feel about that period of Alice's career, MP. ;)
