Alesana - The Emptiness

You've probably seen me listen to this album quite a bit when looking in the "What Are You Listening To Now" threads. Most of the reason is for the fact that it is one of Alesana's most incredible releases, and one of my personal favorites. This album features everything from heavy riffs, to melodic vocals. Nothing too heavy, nothing too surprising. If you're a fan of emotionally captivating lyrics, and a bit on the stretchy side in terms of vocals, you'll enjoy this.

A few songs I would recommend:

These two stuck out the most to me, A Lunatic's Lament more specifically gets you ready for an experience you will more than likely enjoy as you progress through the album. Most importantly, it gets you into the right mood to enjoy the album fully, without getting bored or annoyed. To Be Scared By An Owl is an incredible song if there are problems with relationships in your life, or you just need someone to speak your mind for you, without knowing how to say it. Starts off heavy, but near the end, it leaves you with a speech of sorts, waiting until the final song to be heard, thus ending the album.
