The CD is awesome for if you don't feel like watching the DVD. I have both Donnington CD and DVD.

I somehow can't understand how people prefer the HTH album version of Get It Hot to this.

I prefer that one as well. I also think Volts has the much better Touch Too Much and I prefer Dirty Eyes and Back Seat Confidential to their done up versions.

Another good reason people should pick it up in my opinion. Good to crank that shit up. :grinthumb

HTH is perfect to me the way it is, very few live albums exceed the studio releases for my money.

But I am seriously considering getting Live at the River Plate DVD next time I see it.:hb:

Volts versions of the songs are also criminally under rated. Don't usually say that but thing I like about the album Powerage more that HTH personally is its not Mutt Lange production, it is much rawer and that is the sound I dig the most not to mention HTH has songs I don't give a shit about not to mention the title track HTH feels beaten to death by radios as well, the same problem Back in Black has. I don't go back to those 2 albums a lot and go with their more under rated material.

^^I don't have that problem I haven't listened to the radio for 20 years now, and never owned BIB until recently. HTH is timeless to me, not one duffer on the album and I like the Lange production, that album kicks when you play it. My new HQ vinyl edition sounds brilliant.

Is this the album you are talking about?

^ Yes, that's the one. It contains demo versions of Let There Be Rock and HTH songs.
