A Fine Frenzy is the work of this beauty, Alison Sudol:



Alison is a multi-instrumentalist biut focuses mostly on piano. She's a songwriter influenced by fantasy fantasy writers such as C.S. Caroll and Lewis Caroll. Alison writes songs within a world of her own that captures the innocence and fantastical moods of the aforementioned writers. Their is an old style majestic feel to her music.

When I saw the cover alone for her debut:

One Cell In The Sea

I bought it sound unheard. I had the strong feeling I would like it and when I listened to the recommended tracks I knew why this c.d. was going to create a buzz. If their was nothing else except for this song which is still Alison's signature I still would have felt like the c.d. was worth the money. What a beautiful track about heartache that spells instant classic the second it's released to the world.

If she's got a good voice, she is definitely ok in my books.

I listened to Rangers, and I am already convinced that I am going to enjoy this. She's got such a beautiful voice, and surely knows how to use it. I will be looking into getting more stuff from her, for sure. I also noticed that you posted the album from her, will definitely be looking into getting it.

Well you guys are both awesome for checking it out!

Joe, I love my songbirds! The female vocal is definitely a gift from God whoever anyone's God may be! I can see why that would be a contrast to the blues though I also find beauty in a voice like Nina Simone even though it's rougher around the edges!

Optimus Prime, I'll call you that now because it's badass! Anyway, AFF has two albums out and i'll cover the second but they definitely contrast each other. I much prefer the debut in which I posted so I dount you'll be disappointed!

I dig it, i'll think of a cool nickname for you.

As for the two albums, very cool, gives me something to look into buying in the near future. I have no doubt that I will enjoy it. Will be sure to let you know when I give her more of a listen.
