I know Grunge pretty much killed-off any remaining interest in hair bands the record execs may have had, but there were a few new bands that made their mark with hit songs. I know of only a handfull of new (hair)bands that recorded albums in the early 90's, but they went away almost as fast as they made it onto the radio. That's what this thread is dedicated to.

First up is a band called The Scream with "Man in the Moon"

Next, we have a song called "4 AM TM" by the band Heavy Bones

I love how the videocam seamlessly moves from one guy to the next. I would've loved to have seen the storyboard leading up to the shoot. Highly unlikely it was impromptu.

More later. Hopefully. :D

The band Saigon Kick had a few hits off their second album The Lizard back in 1992. I couldn't find a vid of the rocker "Hostile Youth" so all I can put up is their radio-friendly ballad "Love Is On The Way". Sorry.

One of the more commercially successful hair bands out of the 90's was Candlebox. Here they are with their hit "Far Behind" from their self-titled debut album, and a personal favorite of mine.

Ahhh, here were are... nothing on youtube though, so the best I could do was a link to their video on Yahoo.

Cell Mates' "Bottle of Sin" (with sisters Pamela and Paula Mattioli on "throats" - as per the CD's liner notes. :D )
