Where is ROBIN TROWER as a 3-piece trio especially between 1973-1976 also TONY MCPHEE AND THE GROUNDHOGS as a 3-piece especially between 1970-1974 along with WEST, BRUCE & LAING 1972-1973 and finally THIN LIZZY as a 3-piece between 1970-1973 featuring Eric Bell (electric guitar) Brian Downey (drums) & Phil Lynott (bass & vocals)
Also Jimi Hendrix and the Experience 1966-1969 also during 1970 before passing away in September of 1970 and Jimi Hendrix and The Band of Gypsy's late 1969- early 1970 and finally Ireland's 3-piece TASTE featuring Rory Gallagher (electric guitar & vocals) Richard 'Charlie' McCracken (bass) & John Wilson (drums)
RORY GALLAGHER preferred the 3-piece set-up between 1970-1972 and also between 1978-1980s into the first half of the 1990s before passing away in 1995.
