Yeah you are correct dr wu because with due respect to Jeff, Jimmy & Eric I tend to listen more to guys like Rory, Tony McPhee & Alvin Lee and those guys not to say that Jeff, Jimmy & Eric are lessor musician's god forbid, anyway I have all the Led Zeppelin cd albums and a few Zeppelin vinyl albums as well and with Jeff I have his Truth & Beck-Ola albums with the Beck-Ola album usually being referred to as 'the Apple album' and the two albums with the late Bobby Trench on vocals and the late Cozy Powell on drums and the second album of the two is usually referred to as 'the Orange album' on cd albums along with the Beck, Bogert & Appice album and it's super deluxe box set released earlier in the year featuring 2-lve concerts the first from a live concert in Japan in 1972 and the second from a live concert in London in early 1974 and of course the Blow By Blow & Wired albums and with regards to Eric I have all the Cream albums and box set along with the Blind Faith album and a 25th Anniversary x4 cd Derek & the Dominos box set although with Eric I tend to lose interest in him from his 'comeback' album 461 Ocean Boulevard released in 1974 and onwards through the 1970s & 1980s until the present day.

With regards to Mick Abrahams I re-listened to his solo album from 1971 and especially the last track called Seasons is a 10 minutes 'progressive blues/rock workout' which is excellent!!.

Since you mentioned Lee....my favorite lp and track by TYA....and my favorite lp and track by Savoy Brown
50,000 Miles Beneath My Brain

I'm Crying

One of my friends,( sadly he died some years ago), bought me both records in July 1970 (both came out spring that year) for my 19th birthday. I still recall him ,another friend, me and my brother (also passed on) listening to them both later that evening.

Didnt forget Keef Hartley with Miller Anderson on guitar and Gary Thain on bass.
(the first 4 lps are all excellent...went with first track on Battle,,,) and the classic track by Miller Anderson Time Is Near.

Cricklewood Green by TYA is actually a very good album to listen to and in fact Alvin was quite experimental in using early electrictronic sounds to compliment his guitar on the album and as for Savoy Brown and Raw Sienna that is another good listening album and the last to feature Chris Youlden him wearing a top hat and smoking a large cigar on vocals which apparently the American audiences loved.

My friends Bill and Randy were big Savoy Brown and TYA fans so they turned me onto them in 1969 and 70.

Yes, i am also a big fan of Ten Years After and the Cricklewood Green album i like very much...On the topic of guitarists, i never really got into Jeff Beck, undoubtedly a top top player but i never got into his style...For me, guitar style and the way each individual plays comes ahead of technical ability..i have a friend that saw Jeff Beck a few years back in Liverpool, UK at the Liverpool Summer Pops Festival, he was on the bill with Buddy Guy..My friend said Buddy Guy was excellent but Jeff Beck was just a cacophony of noise, and many walked out...another top top player is Carlos Santana, a truly exceptional player, but i never really got into his Latino style..

on the topic of Cozy Powell, there was this blues-rock album he did in 1973 titled 'Bedlam.'...This album was produced by Felix Pappalardi, Felix being the bass player in that great American heavy blues rock band 'Mountain.'..i am a big fan of Leslie West and Mountain.

This is the style of blues i really like, real heavy heavy slow blues...

The Climax Blues Band - St. Michael's Blues....this track taken from their 1971 album 'Tightly Knit.'..Pete Haycock another great guitarist from that era.
