The eraly 70s were definitely a gold mine! If we're taliking 1970-1971 let's not forget these two legendary albums by JT, Benefit and Aqualung. The latter is definitely more popular, but I believe that Benefit has its own charm.

According to Pete Townshend Meaty Beatty Big and Bouncy was the best Who vinyl record compilation ever released in it's time back in 1971.

I had a cd version of it once about 10 years ago which I wished I had kept.

I surmise-
Meaty was Pete
Beatty was Keith
Big was John
Bouncy was Roger

I have noticed that lots of rare rock from Sacrosanct and Saiyan and Guerra etc... those heavy band albums are mostly 1970!
(something in the water back then?)
