A brand new Little Feat song dropped the other day. A Muddy Waters cover. The band is still sounding awesome and dayum the voice on Sam Clayton.
Little Feat - Can't Be Satisfied
Also Willie Dixon's You'll Be Mine.
Little Feat - You'll Be Mine
Many artists are in as part of a band and a solo act or a second band, 27 in all. All the Beatles and members of CSN are in twice. Clapton is in three times.
Ahh, nuts! I don't know why I mess that title up every time :banghead:.
The other riff I know from somewhere else is the opening part of Crypt Sermon-Key Of Solomon. So familiar, yet so far away.
If there isn't a "where have I heard that riff?" thread, there oughta be.
Who else? There must be some non-rock names.
Ah, OK, Mary J. Blige & A Tribe Called Quest are rap artists/groups. Cher is borderline. I loved Kool & The Gang, but also borderline. Dave Matthews Band is all right.
Keep On Moving On is reminiscent of the Guess Who, but other tracks sound totally different.
This track claims to have some guy named Stevie Wonder playing piano. Even with that the band seems to have disappeared quickly.
Magic - Absolutely Free, Absolutely Beautiful
Alexis sounds like The...
Black Country Communion is releasing their 5th album BCC V June 14th. Sounds like they haven't lost a single step.
I think this is the longest Jason Bonham has ever stuck with a band/project.
BCC - Red Sun
The previous single from a month ago.
BCC - Stay Free
This came out a few weeks ago. A pretty da♥mn fine rendition by some big names. Posting for those of you who might not frequent some other sub-forums.
Slash - Killing Floor (Feat. Brian Johnson)
Billy, Ozzy and Steve Stevens are a really good combination.
Another great track dropped 3 months ago, should be from the same album.
Billy Morrison - Drowning
They originally called themselves The Angels. To avoid confusion and probably legal reasons they used Angel City and The Angels From Angel City. The only band I can think of was Angel, who were active when these guys came out.
Looks like 2024 will bring us a new Doobie Brothers album, from the Johnston/Simmons/McFee/McDonald lineup.
It's being touted as their first in 44 years, but it's been 46-48 years since Johnston & McDonald appeared on the same studio album, and even then Johnston's involvement was minimal due...
Revisiting this concept, I've heard it said that bands are progressive because of longer, more complex arrangements in their songs. That would certainly fit most of the bands considered prog (even Kansas and early Chicago), leaving out latter day Rush and 80's Yes. But then again, they adapted...
Second official video from the album. I really like this song.
Blue Öyster Cult - Don't Come Running To Me
With Rick Downey listed as drummer for the 2 released tracks, it fits in that I thought they sounded like Revolution By Night era stuff, since that's the album he played on.
Their early albums were pretty amazing, especially with Jani Liimatainen in guitar. I haven't been too little blown away by them since The Days Of Grays, but the new album has some promise as a return to form.
Slash has announced a new blues album, Or·gy of the Dam·ned, arriving May 17th via Gibson Records.
The first single/video is Howlin' Wolf's Killing Floor, with Brian Johnson on vocals (sounding oddly unlike Brian Johnson) and some guy on harmonica.
Slash feat. Brian Johnson - Killing Floor
Maybe not the best JP album, but a great one for me and one he11uva comeback/reunion album. Up there with Brave New World and Walk On Water.
Official video for Invincible Shield dropped an hour ago.
Judas Priest - Invincible Shield
Wow, it's been a few minutes for this thread.
Missing these from the 2019 album Veleno.
Fleshgod Apocalypse - Monnlisa
Fleshgod Apocalypse - No
Now a new and completely epic track.
Fleshgod Apocalypse - Pendulum
