    Blues Guitar Software

I was wondering if any of you had ever run across any good teaching software for learning to play blues guitar for a beginner .

    Les Paul Studio vs Standard

The prices of the studio and standard are fairly close to the same, can someone familiar with the LP guitar tell me what the trade-offs are if buying a Studio vs a regular LP. There has to be a reason the Studio is cheaper but it isn't obvious to me at least.

    Govt. Mule (Official Thread)

I just got their album where they do covers of Pink Floyd, even got the same backup singers on there that Floyd used. Pretty good for the most part. Warren Hayes would rather play guitar than eat, he is non-stop all the time playing with somebody some where. Everytime I hear him I end up wishing...

Artists/bands that saved the 80s from total oblivion

A lot of what people are saying were 80's bands were actually 70's bands that were just still around in the 80's . Just the same they did help save the 80's from being just a total waste of time. Thinking here of Pink Floyd, AC/DC, and Bruce Springsteen

    Drifting Sun

I just noticed my review wasn't as positive as I would have liked, it came off sort of negative and I didn't mean it to. Are the songs written as a collaborative effort or does one person do it? The music was very very well written and whomever is on keyboards is nothing short of great. Keep...

    Seasick Steve (Official Thread)

Wow I was surprised, this was MUCH better than I was expecting. Great song writing and he plays a fine guitar as well. Does he play the fiddle on here too or is that somebody else. Just wondering. Where can you get his CD's?

    Drifting Sun

I listened to a couple of the tracks also and I generally liked what I heard. The lyrics were a bit too repetitive to me and I'd like to hear a fuller instrumental sound, but then again not really my cup of tea however I will listen to these some more. Definitely better than a LOT of the crap I...

    New Guitar

Well I have decided to buy another guitar in the near future. I hope I can learn how to play again at least half-way good. Just going to get an acoustic or maybe an electric/acoustic. I have seen some Fender Electric/Acoustic's that I really like, picked one up to try it today and it was...

Thread Closed What Are You Listening To?

I used to love Fever Tree, I had forgotten all about them. Just got American Beauty by The Grateful Dead today. Haven't listened to it yet.

    New WHO album!!

I didn't think Led Zepplin would be the same without Bonham but his son stood in for him in tremendous fashion. Not saying the Who could pull off the same thing but it is certainly possible and I'd love to hear anything they put out.

While I am late to the party for this band I did just get this today, and so far it is the only CD I have of this band.

Would Rock Exist and in what form.

Question (not an original one I am afraid). Would rock exist and what would it be like if Blues and Jazz didn't exist? I could be wrong but early rock sounded like it was pulling a lot of stuff from the blues in particular and jazz as well. Could something akin to modern rock have come about...

How do I go about deleting a post I made to a topic. I looked at the FAQ and it says I can but I don't see how to do it.

The Band was and still is one of my favorite bands. I listen to one or more of their albums almost every day.

    Best Guitarist of all time

Did it ever occur to you that the greatest guitar player of all time might not have been a rock and roll guitarist. Just sayin.

    The Worst Musical Decade?

Absolutely the 2000's. Artists, if you can call them that, have way too many crutches available to them and no qualms about using them to the max. They have machines that can make it sound like they can sing when they can't and make them sound like they can play guitar, when they can't and it...

    Tell us about your stereo!

I don't actually have a system at the moment. I listen by way of my PC and a set of Grado SR325 headphones. I have become more and more interested in vinyl, only thing holding me back is the huge amount of space that ends up using to store all those big records. Eventually I know I am going to...
