If I may get technical, some rap artists and hip hop artists are pretty talented. That is if you consider hip hop and rap to be in the same category, which most don't. However, a lot of underground hip hop is some of the best hip hop i've ever heard.
I was thinking about this on my walk today, and perhaps it's an obvious answer, but I wanted to bring it up for a discussion. Is it possible for music to sound different depending on how much you like the band/artist? One reason why I bring this up, is because I was talking to a friend of mine...
I'm sort of in the same boat. I personally wouldn't really want anything that somebody slept on, in, or around or sat in, etc. So beds, chairs, or things like that. Something about that is just far too creepy for me.
"We want to preserve the history of these items"
Putting them in an auction is a very odd way to preserve the history. Not to mention kind of creepy to auction away his deathbed.
I had no idea. You learn something new everyday. Laiho is an extraordinary guitarist and growler, i've always loved his vocals, regardless of album.
Also, i'm giving Hate Crew Deathroll a bit of a listen tonight before I go into some softer music. This album rocks so hard.

I listened to that before I listened to Ghost Riders.
A good example of them sorta losing their touch on the album would probably be this:
Not to mention there's not even an intro to the song. :heheh:
I agree. Musically though, the album is pretty good. There are a few songs that I remember that I like from that album.

They also did a really good job at covering Ghost Riders In The Sky

This just makes me sad thinking about it. She was easily the most important part of my HS career. Her memorial service is tomorrow, and everybody is wearing purple and pink in memory of her. They were her favorite colors.
:/
Are You Dead Yet has the classic Children of Bodom sound that any fan would undoubtedly enjoy. I've been hearing that about Relentless as well, I personally don't understand that, I thought it was and is a great album. One of their best, easily.
All Is Violent, All Is Bright was released back in 2006 and it sort of has a bit more of the experimental music that their later releases don't really show very much. Much more catchy songs on this album though, still one of my favorites.

I could probably list bands and artists from my own library of music that even I don't fully understand why I listen to them. But, that list would be pretty lengthy, so I don't think I will even bother.
That's probably what happened when I listened to it when it was released. I normally try not to do that, but when it's an album from a band I really like, it's sometimes a bit difficult not to compare new albums to the older work. That's something I have a problem with at times though...
