Really ? You should at least give The Battle Rages On, Now What? & infinite a listen. All are more or less in the same vein as Classic MK II releases.

I'm not really sure why I haven't listened to any Purple releases from the last 30 years. I did read some reviews on 'Infinite' some time...

Definitely. My fav from the band. The use of synthesizers, Mellotron, harpsichord, flute, piano and the keys from Rick Wakeman on "Sabbra Cadabra" plus the strings from the Phantom Fiddlers on "Spiral Architect" all add up to the first progressive metal album. :D
