    Ben Folds (Official Thread)

O.K., this is hard because he's so eclectic and has a wide berth of material over time. I'll give you five tracks that have a mixture of tempos and moods: Not the Same (a beautifully composed ball of melody, energy and quirky eccentricity, with the audience interaction it's that much more...

    Gary Clark Jr

I keep cycling between favorites on the recent album. I love how he's expanded his sound to other genres as he was sold as an accomplished modern Blues artist and great Blues guitarist. He made a Pop album that can be taken seriously imo. He's got some 80's type slow jam similar to Prince here...

    Vinyl or cd`s

C.D. will always be the way I go. I'm not an audiophile but I do know that I've owned every medium aside from 8-Tracks and it's the perfect mix of sound, convenience and collectors value/presentation imo. :)

    Low

LOU/REALM, I think you would like these guys and rthe first track I posted in particular! :grinthumb

    Ryan Adams (Official Thread)

No, that's Bryan Adams! :D Ryan Adams is about as stripped down Folk as you get although he does expand inrto other genres! Enjoy your listening bud! :grinthumb

    Ryan Adams (Official Thread)

It is but won't be by November. I have it om pre-order right now. :) Don't worry about your Taylor Swift confession. It's safe in here! This is a music thread after all!

    Low

LOW LOW is a band that's new to me but is likely not new to a a fair amount of people considering they've been making albums since '94 which total 11 studio releases. Robert Plant has even been listed as a fan which may be surprising since the first track that gripped me, "No Comprende" is...

    Chvrches

LOU, I've never listened to that one. It's as dark and Gothy as I've heard them. :grinthumb Sunny, "Clearest Blue" is another track I enjoyed before deciding to pre-order the album. Seeing them live just reminds you how meek and demure Lauren is. I remember seeing her try to do a Fleetwood...

    Ryan Adams (Official Thread)

So this isn't brand new in general but it may be for some. Ryan Adams covered all of Taylor Swifts 1989 album in a very sincere manner. He says he wrote it in the style of The Smiths but after a listen, which I just officially did for the first time you can hear a lot of Springsteen. He also...

You should really hear the new one. The Whole album streams below head of release: Chvrches "Every Open Eye" Stream

    Chvrches

Gun is really good as well! :grinthumb They really had way more singles off of that album than I thought so I had to whittle it quite a bit. I also agree that they are derivative of 80's Synthpop like a lot of that Indie based Synthpop but for those that are new too the group I didn't want...

    Silversun Pickups (Official Thread)

I can't wait for the upcoming album, Better Nature! Better Nature This is probably the most straight Pop track I've heard from these guys. Also I agree having the female vocalist have more of a spotlight really adds something fresh and is a nice contrast. This is one I could keep on...

    Ben Folds (Official Thread)

Picking a favorite from the new Ben Folds album is impossible. Ben is brilliance though. If you are a fan and haven't bought the album yet Ben adds Chamber Pop and a couple concertos to his repertoire. I like them but I particularly like Ben creating a spiritual successor to "The Luckiest", to...

    Chvrches

Chvrches are becoming the frontrunners of modern vibrant Synthpop. These Scotts come fronted by the adorable Lauren Mayberry and pack some powerful yet simple pulsing Pop that stays consistently energized. With one great album out already and the second nearly available (streaming just became...
