New Nightwish track "Perfume Of The Timeless" dropped today

The new album Yesterwynde will arrive in September. They seem to be continuing the evolutionary theme from Endless Forms Most Beautiful, at least on this track. Nightwish - Perfume Of The Timeless

    Smokey Robinson & The Miracles

YT recommended a channel called "Lost Hits Of The 70's & 80's". Tons of truly obscure bands there, but The Miracles was not quite one of those. They did 7 albums after Smokey departed. This is the 7th and final album. It did not chart. The Miracles-The Miracles (1978)

    Exile

That was their only #1 hit, they had one other oft rock hit, about #40. In the 80's and 90's they went Country with several hits, but Country......:puke:

    Anette Olzon

The heart wants what the heart wants ;) I felt like TDE was similar to Anette's work with NW and that was no bad thing.

Rapture is my favorite of that bunch, but it's all good. I was hoping for another The Dark Element album, since Jani isn't with Insomnium anymore.

    The Midnight Special

You know what's been bugging me lately? That CCR broke up before this show aired and never had a chance to do Midnight Special .... on Midnight Special.

The current listed guitarist is Paul Warren, and that definitely isn't him in the video. Weird.

That looks like McCarty on guitar in the video and he's mentioned in this article as "appearing" on the album.

What do you think of this song? I had it on a mix tape

This track sounds heavier than most "hair metal". Closer to German power metal bands like Blind Guardian or Steeler (the Axel Rudi Pell band). A very cool old-school metal sound.

Simone Simons of Epica - First solo album in August

The stunningly beautiful and talented Simone Simons is releasing her very first solo album later this year. Music on this track (at least) by Arjen Lucassen, so maybe not far off from his Ayreon project in style, which Simone has been a part of here and there. Simone Simons - Aeterna

    The Midnight Special

I'm glad this thread is here. I've been getting a lot of these in my YT feed lately, they've really been cranking them out. The best part, they didn't seem to ever do lip syncing on this show. James Cotton Band with Steve Miller - Big Boss Man January 25, 1974 Procul Harum - Conquistador...

Women Singers in Celtic Folklore and Rock-Metal

Would Anna Murphy and Fabienne Erni in Eluveitie work? It's a Swiss folk metal band and I believe they've done one album in Gaulish (Evocation I). A lot of their themes revolve around the Celts being in Europe in early history and their music inspiring later folk music.
