Their debut self-titled album should have been massive! They could easily have competed with the likes of Styx, Foreigner and Toto and won!
I am 24 and their debut album was an accidental discovery.
Kansas are a recent discovery for me, and pretty quickly entered my top five favourite bands based solely on their seventies output!
Kansas, Song For America, Leftoverture and Point Of Know Return are four of the greatest albums I have ever heard. No question about it!
Rush are one of my top three bands! I absolutely love them!
For me, their run of albums from Caress Of Steel through to the criminally overlooked Presto is the best album streak of all time!
Five favourite albums:
A Farewell To Kings
Moving Pictures
Grace Under Pressure
Hold Your...
Started getting into this band recently, and I am very much awed and inspired by the beauty of this band! I hear echoes of Creedence, The Doors and Yes in their music, as well as an almost Boston like approach to epic melodies!
I can see Kansas becoming my favourite band of the seventies...
Eagles, Elton John, Kiss, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin. All overrated.
For me, the seventies belonged to Kansas, Yes, Styx, Springsteen, Rush, ABBA, Fleetwood Mac and Boston.
love abba.
i own all their albums, collected all their songs and have a few bootleg songs.
favourite album is a three way tie of Voulez Vous, Super Trouper and The Visitors
Best rock album?
O my...
1. Lacuna Coil- Karmacode (all time favourite album, some may call it metal!)
2. Bruce Springsteen- Magic (hideous production does not hide the fact that this is a sterling set of songs)
3. Khoma- The Second Wave
