I'm thinking I must have seen Budgie. They supported Ozzy on his 'Blizzard of Ozz' tour in 1981, which I went to see at Birmingham. The thing is....I can't remember (could be something to do with substances on the night :gig)

I'm looking to start acquiring Budgie Cds, but I'm kind of shocked at how much their cds are selling for (amazon/ebay). The only reasonably priced out the bunch is the "Best of" Cd. Anyone have a line on a cheaper way to get some of their Cds?, I'm not too keen on the idea of downloading (stealing their music).

Try the Budgie official website which has the remastered and enhanced albums for, I think, less than Amazon. The extra tracks are re-recordings which are more interesting than necessary, but the sound is pretty good. The Best Ofs are okay, but you really need the first five albums, which are indespensable (like the first six Sabbath albums).

It looks like they're all 13.99 English pounds, which converts to around $18.35, only marginally cheaper than amazon, with shipping which is listed as 1.80 pounds ($2.36) it puts the price the same. Thanks for the info though, I found the Official Budgie web site interesting. :grinthumb

Okay, if you go for a compilation, make sure it is the one from c.1975. There is not really a bad track on the album and it has about an hour's playing time. My copy is on vinyl, so I am not sure of the mastering quality on CD.

I have seen it on CD, for around eight or nine US dollars, at Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/sell/item/414601835

Ran across these guys on YouTube about 5 or6 years ago. It was one of those rare nice finds.
