Possibly the 1970s but a number of 'the Priests' albums during the 1980s such as British Steel, Point Of Entry, Screaming For Vengeance, Defenders Of The Faith & Ram It Down are good albums so I'm going for the 1980s.

'70's. 'British Steel' is my fav but it was 'Unleashed in the East' that introduced me to the band. One of the top live recordings from the '70's.

Yes the British Steel album is and was an important album for Judas Priest it coincided at just the right time in the UK with the NWOBHM movement.
Regarding Unleashed In The East live album as good as it is the rumour that has always surrounded that particular recording is that some of it was re-recorded in the studio after the actual 'live recording' was made still whatever people think of the album it's still a good listen from start to finish.

80's but I love both. There isn't anything from Judas Priest that I won't listen to.

In recent months, I've even gained a new fondness for the two studio albums that Ripper was on:

Jugulator (1997)

Demolition (2001)

I think that JP did some of their absolutely heaviest stuff on these albums. Not saying "best stuff" but heaviest.

Anyway, I love everything this band has ever done. Nostradamus was kind of wonky, but it's not bad, just different. Can't wait for the new album next year! \m/\m/

Ram it Down was a real grower like Jugulator. The only real shit stain on the discography for me is pretty much Demolition.
