With lovers, buggers, & thieves.
I hear the call and I answer it! :)

My top three prog albums from 1970 are as follows:

1st In The Wake Of Poseidon by King Crimson

2nd Lizard by King Crimson

3rd Trespass by Genesis

Sorry, no suprises here. I like Van Der Graff Generator's showing for that year (H to He),
and Pink Floyd's Atom Heart Mother has it's moments, but these three are
def what I would have been all over, had I not been about one-year-old in 1970! :p

E.L.P. s/t debut. Side 1 of 'Tarkus' only nudges this album out. Side 2 of 'Tarkus' gives the 'ELP' the nod.

Soft Machine's 'Third' introduced me to jazz-fusion/jazz-rock 30+ years ago. This album leaves the "quirky" Canterbury Scene sound behind from their first two albums. Robert Wyatt's "Moon In June" is a masterpiece.

T2 - 'It'll All Work Out Boomland'. Dark, heavy prog. A lost classic. Atomic Rooster's 'Death Walks Behind You' is on it's heels.
