There is no shame in music, only opinionated close-minded assholes :)

I figured you would be Bri. You're not the first person to be surprised.

I definitely agree about the no shame part Grunge. Ask anyone here and they will tell you that I'm shameless to a fault. My Music Confession thread in here has music that would turn most peoples stomachs. :lmao:

I remember hearing some Silversun Pickups on your page in the past so I had an idea that your taste were more than metal before. Actually, I remember some hip hop in your taste as well! I'll never doubt you again Grunge! :grinthumb

Variety is my middle name. As for hip hop, your memory has gone foggy. But I can pass with the underground rappers. Especially the ones spitting rhymes about my favorite subjects.

Death Rap

And you know, the other subject matters of my liking.

Anyway, back on topic.

I would love to see these guys live! What a band as far as putting themselves into songs and I've always heard they've even one over people who weren't initially fans with their performances! :)

Rain King

Round Here
(they never perform this the same twice which is awesome)

Favorite album - Least favorite album? Do share.

Thanks for asking Grunge and indulging me! :grinthumb

Well my favorite overall album changes but if I'm to be honest it'd be like this.

The Best Overall Album
August and Everything After
counting-crows-august-and-everything-after.jpg

There's a reason it's still their classic and overall this one has me hooked from beginning to end. The melodies and lyrics are always familiar and stay with me. Round Here remains there best single IMO and songs like Sullivan Street, Perfect Blue Buildings and Raining In Baltimore will always be Counting Crow staples for me. I even bought the album twice to get the deluxe edition with bonus tracks and a concert dvd!

The Runner Up aka Dark Horse Album
This Desert Life
album-this-desert-life.jpg

This is the album I want to always say is my favorite because it's underrated IMO and the songs I love on it I like better than any of their other songs period! Colorblind is one of the most gorgeous songs ever, Hanging Around is a perfect pop song and Mrs. Potters Lullabye is a grand epic jam!

The Least Liked Album
Hard Candy

This album is so meh and the cover of Big Yellow Taxi is a waste!

The last official Counting Crows single:

You can't Count On Me

These guys are due for a new album and a rebirth of discussion about them here! :grinthumb
