Rick James- Super Freak
Salt-N-Pepa-Push It
Tone Loc- Funky Cold Medina so maybe he's a two hit wonder.:)

To be fair this thread is littered with bands that are not one hit wonders right from the first post. Madness were big in the 80's and had something like 25+ top 40 hits in the UK throughout their career. Soft Cell, FGTH, Dexy's, Gary Numan even a Flock of Seaguls all had several hits each. Even A-ha was mentioned, the most sucessful Norwegian band ever, selling over 50 million records, hardly one hit wonders.

Even though Kenny Loggins had great success with Messina, and maybe some solo stuff but "Danger Zone".. ugh..preppy.. preppy and more fuzzy preppy chit..

That's what I thought. Aha single-handedly killed this thread. :D

I would add Falco to this list. He was famous way before "Amadeus" with songs like "Der Kommissar" and remaind successful with hits like "Jeanny", all in the 80s not to mention his later success.

Classic one hit wonders are bands like Europe with "The Final Countdown" and Vanilla Ice (in the non-rock department).
