Cheers BE, I went along with Lou and Sweat it was good night. There were some unusual characters both on the stage and in the audience.:D
Par for the course at a Hawkwind gig.

Here's the set list from last night BE.

The Awakening
Master of the Universe
Steppenwolf
The Hills Have Ears
Southern Cross
Assault and Battery
The Golden Void
The Wizard Blew His Horn
Opa-Loka
The Demented Man
Magnu
Standing at the Edge
Spiral Galaxy 28948
Warrior On The Edge
Kings of Speed
Sentinel
Silver Machine
Reefer Madness
Assassins of Allah

Encore:
Utopia
Seasons

The present line up are all very capable, talented musicians and I should think they can dip into any era of the Hawkwind back catalogue. All vocals were really good last night BE, Mr Dibbs did the lions share.

Great performance last night by HAWKWIND at Sheffield o2 . The vocals were clear, very colourful backdrop, lightshow and dancers in brilliant costumes. The set list was strong...but why no " Space is deep" ?
I hadn't seen Hawkwind since Sam Fox did backing vocals for them...which is a few years ago !
If you have never seen this band "Live" I would advise you, very entertaining a great experience :grinthumb

......and the wizard blew his horn !

It looks as if they are starting the shows with Space Ritual, perhaps as a nod to the past, before they play a broad set. It's good to see Assault and Battery, Reefer Madness, Silver Machine and Kings of Speed.

:heheh: Mr Dibbs stayed talking to blokes down at the front near the stage but the rest of the band cleared off, knackered I guess cos they put a lot into it and Dave Brock is in his 70's.

Let me just butt in to say how lucky you guys are. Hawkwind are one of the bands highest on my wishlist for bands I want to see live!!!! Of course it would have been the ultimate dream to have seem them back their heyday (as with most bands from the good ol' days), but they seem to still be putting on a great show!
