I'd put them easily at the top of the "Big 4" along with Metallica. Anthrax is alright, but nowhere near Megadeth & Metallica in my book. That's just the way it is.:D

In terms of consistency I personally rate Megadeth the highest. Only Risk and The World Needs A Hero are considered their bumps in the road. :)

^ Apparently Nick Menza leaving after "Cryptic Writings" really messed with the bands creative process? Plus it ain't that good to take a "Risk" when you were previously so good at what you made/did before.

I like Risk but as a Megadeth album it was a major fail. I think the idea was they assumed they would get as much success as Cryptic.

My favorite post Rust in Peace album from them .... very solid from top to bottom.

My favorite tracks are Addicted to Chaos(one of my favorite Megadeth tracks of all time), Youthanasia and Blood of Heroes.

Great album, remember seeing them on this tour and meeting them in Wales, got the CD booklet signed and a pair of jeans too. The original was a special with another CD including Hidden treasures which is a few cover songs.

Good review:)
