Yeah you really can't go wrong. Ronnie is such a nice guy and VERY repectful of other people. This is a great example of that. Not sure if I would have had the patience with her. This interviewer is pretty clueless and Ronnie as usual, is a class act.

^^^ I got the "Holy Diver" cd edition with the interview from 2005 at the end and listening to Ronnie you can tell straight off he was a genuine feller, just a really nice bloke given his status in the rock world. Also when I saw Molly Hatchet, Phil McCormack was talking about what a great down to earth guy Ronnie was.

Dio released their third studio album in 1985 and it was I think a stormer even though it suffered a little from critics suggesting they were looking for a big hit and the album contained a couple of fillers, over production etc. I think "Sacred Heart" just happened to be that third one that follows two monsters. For me it's a must have album, simple as that. :cheers2

I only have a couple of his solo albums, but he makes an appearance on one of my favorite sleepers of all time, Kerry Livgren the driving force in Kansas got him to sing a couple of tracks on "Seeds of Change".

A great record, blew us all away when I got it. Funny Kerry is a true believer and you wouldn't think he would feel comfortable collaborating with Ronnie but I think it worked like a treat.

Dio is one of my fave singers of all time and I regret not seeing him, like Sox says he played so close and I never got a ticket and now he has gone so big regret.

I love all Dio albums, apart from the first album I love this track...

You're my hero!

That was the first place I ever heard Ronnie, when I tracked down a vinyl copy of Seeds Of Change back in the late 80's.

Luckily it was finally released on CD some years ago & I still have my copy, as well as the ripped mp3's.

I later got most of Ronnie's music on CD, including a few Elf albums and of course Rainbow (that voice & that guitar, such a shame Richie never got that version of the band back together).

I love this video from 1999, with Ronnie doing a guest thing with Deep Purple on a song he did on Roger Glover's Butterfly Ball. He really seems to be having a lot of fun there.

Sacred Heart
Another Lie
Rock'n'Roll Children
