Is the new album not made up of old material previously released?

It contains twelve previously unreleased recordings of tracks he was working on for the planned follow-up to Electric Ladyland.

Yeah I read that but I am sure there were previously released versions before and I wonder where they found the album, more money spinners I believe:)

Isn't his step sister the one who has control over all his material?

From what I have read, the new album will only contain a couple unreleased songs and the rest of the album are songs that are recycled. Even the song Nololob posted was in a box set released in 2000.

Yeah Magic it's all run by the family now and a lot of stuff is recycled from various versions, the new song is good, there are a few versions on youtube. I will probably buy it when it's cheap like I have done with the last one:)

From the article I posted, it appears there is only 1 track that has never been released in some form or another:

‘Baby Let Me Move You’ appears to be a true, honest-to-goodness unreleased track, featuring Hendrix and sax player Lonnie Youngblood in the studio together in March of 1969. Whether this is a fully realized track or just an aimless studio jam, we won’t know until March 5, when the album is slated for release.

I did a search to see if I could atleast find a snippet of the song, and I found nothing.

New single from the upcoming album People, Hell and Angels. :grinthumb

His playing is so completely bitchin'. I waited years to finally see the full video of him playing Here My Train A Comin' at Berkeley. That's my favorite live version, first heard it on the Blues CD.
