David Lee Roth to address Superbowl Rumors

How are they gonna play The Super Bowl when they can't even handle their tour? I would like to see VH but I doubt it will happen.

Are you suggesting that because they cancelled the second leg of the tour that they couldn't play 20 minutes at the Superbowl?

^^I think AAG makes a valid point, we really don't know what's going on inside VH, just the tidbits they are releasing explaining why they've been so inconsistent recently.

At this point I would be shocked if they do finish the current tour, or ever release another studio album of new material.

This has all the earmarks of Eddie going through a drama, and as I said if it's because he simply is burned out and can't handle a full blown tour, then I would understand and have sympathy for him.

I can't see it happening. No way the people who plan the event will want an act as unstable and wishy washy as these guys to have the fate of the halftime show in their hands. Knowing them they might flake out at the last minute. If they do use them, they better have a backup. But that's a lot of explaining to do if things don't work out as planned!

Yes that's true enough Powerage, but it's also well documented fact that Eddie can implode at any time. How long did the last go round with Dave last??

I am hoping things do work out for VH but their prehistory will always give me reason to speculate when something like this concert cancellation/rescheduling happens.

Previous too this they supposedly recorded some new tracks in 2000, but as Dave has been a full time member of the band since 2007 I would suggest things are ALOT stronger than at anytime since Hagar left in 1996.
