Just about to leave for work. My shift is from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm.

Yes, it's a very nice place indeed! But it's really cold, which is unfortunate because there are some lovely beaches here.

Just found out that a person I have known and been friends with since kindergarten has died. I'm in complete shock.

Thanks guys. It's very surreal. They found him in the barracks dead in his bunk.
It's crazy. The body gets shipped back to here on Friday I believe. When I talked to him a few weeks ago he seemed fine, but obviously that was not the case. Can't imagine how the family is taking it. He was the youngest child out of his sisters and the only son his father and mother had. Told my bosses at my job that my availability would not be known until I find out the funeral arrangements.
