Hey, my name is Rob! I'm a close friend of Sooty (who actually set me up to play with the guitarist and bassist to form this band) and have been a member of this forum for over a year now. I don't post very often but I do check out things on the site. My internet is horrible for posting here but I'd love to get some honest feedback on my band here as there seems to be a lot of knowledgeable members here. I'm using Soots computer to do this but I will definitely at least check back to see if there's feedback and respond as best as possible. So with that, this is my band in which I do vocals, my friend Dan plays guitar and our friend Bob plays bass. We have other members throughout but they are the core band. Here's our recent acoustic sessions together to start follow by our studio covers and originals. I thank you ahead of time for checking this out. It's a real labor of love and music has been something I've been wanting to do my whole life. Through years of college I've studied music and been through bands but even though this band is not permanent it's great to have found a group of guys that love to play as much as I do in this small town and be happy with the results. Thanks again and I hope you enjoy! :cheers2

Got through hearing all the stuff here. Sounds good man! The Man In The Box cover was really cool. You sound like a good vocalist to me. JUst don't hold back so much...it comes across.

That's normal though. A happy case of recording nerves. When you had to go louder on Man In The Box for example, it got better. Mostly it's on the lower parts.

But to me it sounds like you know what to do. The music sounds good and your vocals sound in key. If they did happen to go off? To me it just sounds like it's being held back a bit. No biggie.

GO FOR IT! :grinthumb

Actually, I agree with you Metal! Rob seems to sound best when the notes require more power like in "Creep" his shining moment is on that high note. One thing I will say is that the heavier stuff is actually more of an influence of the other band members and has forced him to experiment with other styles. Before this he never listened or bought any AIC, etc. His strengths at least before expanding were in the range of Matchbox 20 to Fuel at the heaviest. He does great at ballads like "Epiphany" from Staind and perfect at Fuels "Hemorrhage"! I know Rob will appreciate the feedback a lot and is open to learning from it! :cheers2

Very cool! Yeah he sounds like he's on the right track for sure.

Determination is the key....but I was pleasantly surprised. It all sounds really good.

:cheers2
