The Friday line-up is awful IMO, Slash and NOFX are the only bands I would see that day.

I've seen Slash 4 times with Velvet Revolver and once solo in 2010 on the Main Stage. I was really not arsed about him that day before he came on, but once he started, it was excellent. Myles Kennedy is an amazing vocalist.

Yeah he is I think he does a very good job with the Guns N Roses songs, he is better than he is with Alter Bridge imo, I saw him with Velvet revolver too. Sox has a weekend ticket and I think he willl be going to see Slash so I probably will go to see him.

Glastonbury is normally the only festival that interests me, but I have to say that as Glasto is taking a break this summer, the 2012 Isle of Wight Festival looks incredibly mouthwatering, with probably 3 of my Top 10 artists ever headlining. Not that I will be going... I think you reach a certain stage in life - which I am now way past - when there's no band/singer that ever existed who could make living in a field for 3 or 4 days knee deep in mud and other people's garbage seem any more appealing, but this looks quite tasty....

Isle of Wight Festival 2012

I used to go to the Isle Of Wight festival but it got too big and you cannot get anywhere near the stage like you used to and it has become way too expensive but it was a great few days and usually sunny too:) It's a shame Tom Petty is not doing anymore dates around the UK as the two dates in London are quite expensive so I will miss him again:(

I went to the Isle of Wight Festival in 2004, saw Stereophonics, The Who and David Bowie. Amazing weekend. Got family down there too.

I'm a very casual Tom Petty fan, but would like to have seen him too.

I really want to go to the Saturday of this, haven't got the money though.

Yeah The Who were brilliant, just wish I knew then what I do now, I only knew 3 Who songs that day. I think me and my mate ended up in like the second row for that show!

So loud the half the PA dropped out at one point I remember. Bowie on the Sunday after the football disappointment was excellent though.
