So we get The Ian Anderson Band and The Martin Barre Band touring in 2012 - we all win

Sorry but I disagree, It´s a waste of valuable TULL time, soon they´ll both be too old to..................Oh well, I´ll guess I´ll stick with Robot Fripp

We went a bit of the trail back there so here's a Tull track to bring it back in line, yeah KH I was thinking about going along to see Ian later this year but I am in two minds. It seems odd Martin not being there.

I think it's far easier for Ian to do a tour and perform Tull material than it would be for Martin. I wish both success but I do think I was on target that Martin wanted a break from Tull this year, they did a lot of touring in 2011 even stopping in here which surprised me, there was no announcement when the initial dates were set.

And Martin is an avid winter sportsman, perhaps he wanted to enjoy his mountain playground for a while rather than the rigors of touring right now.

That whole first album is fairly metal. Yes, I know it is heavily jazz influenced but so is early metal. In fact, there are some striking similarities between This Was and the first Sabbath albums.

I heard Iommi was being considered for tull before his accident that took the tipsw of his fingers. I'm glad (other than the obvious loss for Tony) things happened the way they did. Had they not we might be deprived of the genius of Mick Abrams.
